TENSION
20 sts and 26 rows = 4 ins [10 cm] with larger needles in stocking st.

Note: When working neck detail, use separate balls of yarn for each area of color. To change colors, twist the two colors around each other, on WS, to prevent a hole.

Neckband: With RS of work facing, A and smaller needles, K7 (7-9-9-11-11- 11-13) from left sleeve st holder dec 0 (0-0-0-1-1-1-1) st at center. Pick up and knit 11 (11-11-11- 15-15-15-15) sts down left front neck edge. Rib across 13 (13-13-13-17-17-17-17) sts from front st holder. Pick up and knit 11 (11-11-11- 15-15-15-15) sts up right front neck edge. K7 (7-9-9-11-11-11-13) from right sleeve st holder, dec 0 (0-0-0-1-1-1-1) st at center. K25 (27-29-31-35-37- 39-39) from Back st holder, dec 1 st at center. 73 (75-81-83- 101-103-105-109) sts.
Keeping cont of ribbing at center front, work 3 (3-3½-3½-4½-4½-4½-4½) ins [7.5 (7.5-9-9-11-11-11-11) cm] in (K1. P1) ribbing as given for Front. Cast off loosely in ribbing.

Sew left back raglan and neckband seam. Fold neckband in half to WS and sew loosely in position. Sew side and sleeve seams.

Toque
With A and smaller needles cast on 93 (97) sts.
1st row: (RS). K1. *P1. K1. Rep from * to end of row.
2nd row: P1. *K1. P1. Rep from * to end of row.
Rep last 2 rows (K1. P1) ribbing for 5 (5½) ins [12.5 (14) cm] ending on a 2nd row.

Change to MC and larger needles and proceed in stocking st until work from beg measures 8 (8½) ins [20.5 (21.5) cm] ending with RS facing for next row and dec 3 sts evenly across last row. 90 (94) sts.

Next row: (WS). (P2tog) 9 (11) times. Break yarn leaving a long end. Draw end through rem sts and fasten securely. Sew center back seam, reversing seam for turn-back.

Pom-pom: Wind A around 4 fingers approx 60 times. Remove from fingers and tie tightly in center. Cut through both sides of loops. Trim into a smooth, round shape. Sew to top of Toque.
