Grace - Flower Appliques (crochet)

Lovely and simple flower appliques are perfect as an embellishment for summer garments and accessories. Two sizes: Small and Large. Crocheted in Patons Grace. 3.75 mm (U.S. F or 5) crochet hook.

MATERIALS
Patons® Grace (50 g / 1.75 oz)
Large Flower 60104 (Azure) or 60437 (Rose) or 60012 (Taupe)
1 ball makes approx 15.
Small Flower 60130 (Sky) or 60416 (Blush) or 61008 (Natural)
1 ball makes approx 23.

Size 3.75 mm (U.S. F or 5) crochet hook or size needed to obtain tension. Sewing needle and matching thread.

TENSION
24 sc and 26 rows = 4 ins [10 cm].

STITCH GLOSSARY
Beg = Beginning.
Ch = Chain.
Dc = Double crochet.
Hdc = Half-double crochet.
Rep = Repeat.
RS = Right side.
Sc = Single crochet.
Sl st = Slip stitch.
Sp(s) = Space(s).

INSTRUCTIONS
LARGE FLOWER (make 2)
Ch 8. Join with sl st to first ch to form a ring.
1st rnd: Ch 3 (counts as dc). 1 dc in ring. (Ch 6. 3 dc in ring) 5 times. Ch 6. 1 dc in ring. Join with sl st to top of ch-3.
2nd rnd: Sl st in next dc and next ch-6 loop. *Ch 1. (1 sc. 1 hdc. 7 dc. 1 hdc. 1 sc) in ch-6 loop. Ch 1. Miss next dc. Sl st in next dc. Rep from * 5 times more. Fasten off.

SMALL FLOWER (make 3)
Ch 6. Join with sl st to first ch to form a ring.
1st rnd: Ch 1. 2 sc in ring. (Ch 4. 3 sc in ring) 5 times. Ch 4. 1 sc in ring. Join with sl st to first sc.
2nd rnd: Sl st in next sc and next ch-4 loop. *(1 sc. 1 hdc. 4 dc. 1 hdc. 1 sc) in ch-4 loop. Miss next sc. Sl st in next sc. Rep from * 5 times more. Fasten off.

FINISHING
Sew Flowers to skirt as shown in picture.
