MEASUREMENTS
Approx 42 x 50½ ins [106.5 x 128.5 cm].

MATERIALS
Patons® Melody (100 g/3.5 oz)
Main Color (MC): (Purple) 10 balls
Contrast A: (Ombre) 2 balls

Size 10 mm (U.S. N or 15) crochet hook or size needed to obtain tension.

TENSION
7 sc and 7 rows = 4 ins [10 cm].

INSTRUCTIONS
With MC, ch 75.
1st row: (RS). 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook. 1 sc in each ch to end of ch. Turn. 74 sc.
2nd row: Ch 3 (counts as dc). 1 dc in each sc to end of row. Turn.
3rd row: Ch 1. 1 sc in each dc to end of row. Turn.
Rep last 2 rows until Blanket measures approx 50 ins, ending with 3rd row. Fasten off.

Edging: Join A with sl st to any corner. Ch 1. 1 sc in same sp as sl st.Work 1 rnd of sc, having 3 sc in corners. Join with sl st to first sc. Fasten off.
With A, chain st swirls randomly.

Tassels: (make 4) Cut a piece of cardboard 4 ins [10 cm] wide.Wind A around cardboard 20 times. Break yarn leaving a long end and thread end through a needle. Slip needle through all loops and tie tightly. Remove cardboard and wind yarn tightly around loops ¾ inch [2 cm] below fold. Fasten securely. Cut through rem loops and trim ends evenly. Sew tassels at each corner of Blanket.
