TENSION
20 sts and 26 rows = 4 ins [10 cm] with 2 strands of yarn in rib pat.

Patons® Grace (50 g/1.75 oz)
Sizes: S (M-L-XL): 14 (15-16-17) balls

Size 5 mm (U.S. 8) knitting needles or size needed to obtain tension. Cable needle. Size 4 mm (U.S. G or 6) crochet hook.

ABBREVIATIONS
C6B = slip next 3 sts onto cable needle and leave at back of work. K3, then K3 from cable needle.
C6F = slip next 3 sts onto cable needle and leave at front of work. K3, then K3 from cable needle.
T5B = slip next 2 sts onto cable needle and leave at back of work. K3, then P2 from cable needle.
T5F = slip next 3 sts onto cable needle and leave at front of work. P2, then K3 from cable needle.
T4B = slip next st onto cable needle and leave at back of work. K3, then P1 from cable needle.

Shoulder shaping: Cast off 10 (12-12-13) sts beg next 2 rows, then cast off 11 (13-13-14) sts beg following 2 rows. Cast off rem 29 (33-33- 41) sts.

SLEEVES
With 2 strands of yarn, cast on 60 (66-72-72) sts.
Next row: (RS). *K1. P1. Rep from * to end of row.
Next row: *P1. K1. Rep from * to end of row.
Proceed as follows:
1st row: *K3. P3. Rep from * to end of row.
This row forms (K3. P3) ribbing pat.
Cont in (K3. P3) ribbing pat, inc 1 st at each end of 5th row, then following 6th row. 64 (70- 76-76) sts, taking inc sts into rib pat.
Work 11 rows even.
Shape cap: Cast off 4 sts beg next 2 rows. Dec 1 st at each end of next 10 rows. Cast off 3 sts beg next 2 rows. Cast off rem 30 (36-42-42) sts.

FINISHING
Pin garment pieces to measurements and cover with a damp cloth allowing cloth to dry.
Sew shoulder seams. With RS of work facing and 2 strands of yarn, work 1 row of single crochet around neck edge, and front opening (see diagram).
With 2 strands of yarn, crochet a chain 36 ins [90 cm] long. Fasten off. Thread through eyelet holes as illustrated. Knot ends.
Sew in sleeves. Beg at marked rows at side edges, sew side and sleeve seams.
