MEASUREMENT
5½ ins [14 cm] tall and 6½ ins [16.5 cm] wide

MATERIALS
Patons Canadiana (100 g/3.5 oz) or
Patons Décor (100 g/3.5 oz)
Main Color (MC) (Lt Green) 1 ball
Small amounts of:
Contrast A (Dk Green) for embroidery and Contrast B (Yellow) for Bow Tie

Size 3.75 mm (U.S. 5) knitting needles or size needed to obtain tension. 2 eye buttons ½ inch [1 cm] in diameter, 5 Jingle Bells 3 mm. Round or oval plastic shape for rattle effect max 1¼-1½ ins [3-4 cm] diameter (we used "Kinder Egg" plastic container). 2 double-pointed knitting needles size 3¾ mm (U.S. 5) for Bow Tie. Stuffing.

TENSION
24 sts and 32 rows = 4 ins [10 cm] in stocking st.

MB = (Make Bobble). [(K1. P1) 4 times. K1] all in next st. Turn. (P9. Turn. K9. Turn) 3 times. P9. Turn. (Sl1. K2tog. psso) 3 times. Turn. Sl1. P2tog. psso. 1st rem. Slip back onto left hand needle. Turn.

INSTRUCTIONS
BODY (make 2)
With MC, cast on 5 sts.
1st row: (RS). K1. *P1. K1. Rep from * to end of row.
This row forms seed st pat.
Cont in seed st pat and proceed as follows:
1st row: (WS). Inc 1 st in first st. Pat to last 2 sts. Inc 1 st in next st. K1.
Rep last row twice more, ending with RS facing for next row. 11 sts.
Proceed as follows:
1st row: Inc 1 st in first st. Pat to last 2 sts. Inc 1 st in next st. K1.
2nd and alt rows: Work in seed st pat (taking inc sts into seed st pat).
Rep last 2 rows twice more. 17 sts.
Next row: (RS). Inc 1 st in first st. Pat 6 sts. Cast off next 3 sts. Pat 5 sts (including st on needle after cast off ). Inc 1 st in next st. K1.
Next row: Pat 8 sts. Turn. Leave rem 8 sts on a spare needle.
Work 8 rows even in pat, ending with RS facing for next row. Break yarn.
With WS of work facing, join yarn to rem 8 sts and pat to end of row.

FINISHING
Sew Body pieces tog leaving opening for stuffing. Stuff firmly. Sew opening closed. Sew arms leaving opening for stuffing. Stuff firmly. Sew opening closed and sew to Body as shown. Fold Head along marked row (center back of head).
Sew Head leaving opening for stuffing. Insert plastic shape with Jingle Bells inside, stuff Head firmly. With A, embroider mouth along head seam using stem st as illustrated. Sew button eyes to bobbles.
Optional: Embroider eyes with A instead of button eyes.
Bow Tie: With B and 2 double pointed needles cast on 4 sts. K4. *Slide sts to other end of needle without turning work. K4. Rep from * until cord measures 12 ins [30.5] cm. Cast off. Tie cord around neck as illustrated.
