MEASUREMENTS
16 ins [40.5 cm] long and 11½ ins [29 cm] wide.

MATERIALS
Patons Canadiana (100 g/3.5 oz) or
Patons Décor (100 g/3.5 oz)
Main Color (MC) (Red)2 balls
Contrast A (Black) 1 ball

Size 3.75 mm (U.S. 5) knitting needles or size needed to obtain tension. Stuffing.

TENSION
24 sts and 32 rows = 4 ins [10 cm] in stocking st.

INSTRUCTIONS
FRONT AND BACK (make alike)
With MC, cast on 4 sts.
1st row: (RS). Inc 1 st in first st. Knit to last 2 sts.
Inc 1 st in next st. K1.
2nd row: Inc 1 st in first st. Purl to last 2 sts. Inc 1 st in next st. P1.
Rep last 2 rows to 34 sts, ending with WS facing for next row.
Next row: Purl.
Next row: Inc 1 st in first st. Knit to last 2 sts. Inc 1 st in next st. K1.
Next row: Purl.
Rep last 2 rows to 54 sts.
Cont even in stocking st until work from beg measures 11 ins [28 cm], ending with RS facing for next row.
Proceed as follows:
1st row: Sl1. K1. psso. Knit to last 2 sts. K2tog.
2nd row: Purl.
Rep last 2 rows 5 times more. 42 sts.
Cast off 2 sts beg next 4 rows, then cast off 3 sts beg next 4 rows. 22 sts.
Proceed as follows:
With A, work 6 rows stocking st, ending with RS facing for next row.
Next row: Sl1. K1. psso. Knit to last 2 sts. K2tog.
Next row: P2tog. Purl to last 2 sts. P2togtbl.
Rep last 2 rows once more.
Cast off 2 sts beg next 2 rows. Cast off rem 10 sts.

BLACK SPOTS (make 5)
With A, cast on 3 sts.
1st row: (WS). Inc 1 st in first st. Inc 1 st in next st. K1. 5 sts.
2nd row: K1. (Inc 1 st in next st. K1) twice. 7 sts.
3rd row: Inc 1 st in first st. Knit to last 2 sts. Inc 1 st in next st. K1. 9 sts.
4th row: Inc 1 st in first st. Knit to last 2 sts. Inc 1 st in next st. K1.
5th row: Knit.
Rep last 2 rows once more. 13 sts.
Knit 6 rows even, ending with RS facing for next row.
Next row: K2tog. Knit to last 2 sts. K2tog.
Next row: Knit.
Rep last 2 rows once more. 9 sts.
Next row: K2tog. Knit to last 2 sts. K2tog.
Rep last row to 3 sts. Cast off.
Sew spots in position as illustrated.
Sew Front and Back of Pillow tog leaving an opening to insert stuffing. Stuff firmly. Sew opening closed.

LEGS (make 6).
With A, cast on 9 sts.
Proceed in stocking st for 10 rows, ending with RS facing for next row.
Next row: (Inc 1 st in next st) 9 times. 18 sts.
Beg with a purl row, work 9 rows in stocking st ending with RS facing for next row.
Next row: (K2tog) 9 times. 9 sts.
Next row: P1. (P2tog) 4 times. 5 sts.
Next row: K1. Sl1. K2tog. psso. K1. 3 sts.
Next row: Sl1. P2tog. psso. Fasten off.
Sew back seam. Flatten legs and sew in position as illustrated.
Antenna: (make 2) Cut 12 strands of A 7 ins [18 cm] long. With all strands tog hold one end and with someone holding other end, twist strands to the right until they begin to curl. Fold the 2 ends tog and tie in a knot so they will not unravel. The strands will now twist themselves tog. Adjust length if desired.
Sew antenna to top of head as illustrated.
