ML = A) Knit next st leaving st on lefthand needle. Bring yarn to front of work between 2 needles and wind it once clockwise around left index finger.
B) Take yarn to back of work again between the needles and knit into the same st on left-hand needle again and slip sts onto right hand needle. Slip first st made over last st made to secure loop.

UPPER BODY

Proceed in loop st pat as follows:

4th row: Knit.
These 4 rows form loop st pat.
Work a further 10 rows in loop st pat.
Keeping cont of pat, cast off 3 sts beg next 2 rows.
Dec 1 st at each end of next and following alt rows twice. 76 sts.
Dec 1 st at each end of next 3 rows. 70 sts.
Work 6 rows even in pat.

Leave sts on a st holder.
With WS of work facing, rejoin A to last 3 sts and work 3 rows even. Leave sts on a safety pin.
Place 3 sts at each end onto one needle.
Place center 6 sts on another needle.
With 3rd needle, cast off these 2 sets of 6 sts tog (see diagram below).

FEET (make 4 - worked sideways)
With A, cast on 12 sts. Beg with a knit
row, work 22 rows in stocking st. Cast off.

EARS (make 2)
With A, cast on 6 sts.
Work 3 rows garter st.
Dec 1 st each end of next and following alt row. 2 sts.
Next row: K2tog. Fasten off.

TAIL
With MC, cast on 18 sts.
Work 2 rows garter st. Cast off.

FINISHING
Sew Upper Body to Underside matching markers and leaving leg openings free. Sew cast on and cast off edges of Feet tog. Sew bottom seam.
Stuff feet lightly. Sew to leg openings.
Sew Head seam. Sew cast off edges at either side of Muzzle in position. Stuff Head and Body.
Sew Head to Body. With MC embroider eyes as illustrated. Sew Ears and Tail in position.
