TENSION
20 sts and 26 rows = 4 ins [10 cm] in stocking st.

MATERIALS
Patons® Classic Wool (100 g/3.5 oz)
00224 (Grey Mix) 2 balls
OR
00226 (Black) 2 balls

Size 4.5 mm (U.S. 7) knitting needles or size needed to obtain tension.

STITCH GLOSSARY

Beg = Beginning.
K = Knit.
P = Purl.

INSTRUCTIONS
BACK
**Cast on 46 sts.
1st row: (RS). K2. *P2. K2. Rep from * to end of row.
2nd row: P2. *K2. P2. Rep from * to end of row.
Rep last 2 rows until work from beg measures 8 ins [20.5 cm], ending with RS facing for next row.**
Next row: Cast on 15 sts for left shoulder. Knit these 15 sts. Knit to end of row. 61 sts.
Next row: Cast on 15 sts for right shoulder. (K5. P10) across these 15 sts. Purl to last 5 sts. K5. Place markers at each end of row. 76 sts.
Next row: Knit across all sts.
***Next row: K5. Purl to last 5 sts. K5.
Rep last 2 rows until work from markers measures 7 ins [18 cm], ending with RS facing for next row.
Knit 6 rows. Cast off knitwise.***
